Welcome to ASA! ASA is a group for students who are interested or already majoring in Accounting at the Eller College of Management. ASA holds member meetings every other week, bringing in speakers from accounting firms from all over, providing crucial information for what accounting opportunities lie in wait for upcoming accounting graduates. ASA also gives back to the community by holding philanthropies for members to participate in. Last, but definetely not least, ASA gives members a chance to network with accounting professionals as well as with other accounting students at various events and socials that include bowling, comedy clubs, picnics, and many more fun activities. If you would like to know more, simply look around this website at our About Section, Pictures, or Calendar. Thanks for stopping by!

If you have siblings and/or friends currently enrolled in an AZ high school
(particularly juniors or sophomores) who are interested in careers in
business (especially accounting), please forward them the following message:
My name is Trevor Goss and I am the University of Arizona's Accounting
Careers Awareness Program (ACAP) Coordinator. ACAP is an annual event
sponsored by Ernst & Young and the University of Arizona Accounting
Department and is offered free of charge to students.
ACAP introduces high school students from underrepresented student
populations to the accounting profession and its various career
opportunities. The program is a week-long residential program with field
trips to accounting offices at Ernst & Young in Phoenix and the Desert
Museum in Tucson. Participants experience the life of a college student
while developing and presenting a business plan to accounting professionals.
This year's program will be held from Sunday, May 31 to Friday, June 5,
2009.
ACAP is an excellent resource for students who have the ability to attend
college but may not believe that they can find funding, or may not have
family support for this choice. It is also aimed at talented students who
would like to explore a business major before they start college. If you
have students who would be good candidates for this program or if you would
like additional details please contact me at ACAP@eller.arizona.edu or visit
the ACAP website at http://accounting.eller.arizona.edu/acap/. I have
attached the ACAP brochure and application, which can also be found on the
web site. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
